HOME REMEDIES FOR RHEUMATIC DISEASE
Natural remedies against rheumatic pains
Herbal remedies have shown to be one of the best ways to treat this chronic disease, since they can relieve the pain and help with discomforts and difficulties associated with rheumatism. These are our recommendations:
Healing Agrimony bath
· 200 grams (7.05 oz) of Agrimony
· 8 liters of cold water
Place Agrimony in cold water. Steep it 24 hours. The next day heat it, strain and add it to bath water. Sit in your healing bath water for about 20 minutes, then wrap yourself in a towel or step in your bathrobe, and lay down for an hour.
· Dry Comfrey root
· Cold pressed Sunflower Oil
Grind dry root to make a fine powder. Place a tablespoon of powder in a cup, and pour hot water over it and add a few drops of sunflower oil. Stir it rapidly until you obtain a thick mass. Place the mixture on a cotton gauze and then on an affected part. This poultice can reduce the swelling and alleviate pain.
Healing Scots Pine bath
If you are suffering from rheumatism, this herbal remedy makes a wonderful addition to your bath water.
· 150 grams (5.29 oz) of Scots Pine buds
· 1 l of water
Place the Scots Buds into the saucepan filled with water. Heat it until it reaches the boiling point. Brew it for 10 minutes, and add to bath water.
