Remedies for Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a relatively common, itching skin condition and can be rather annoying. It is produced when the new skin comes to the surface more quickly than normal causing the development of thick patches called plaques. If the person does not receive an adequate treatment, psoriasis could result in psoriatic arthritis. It can also increase the risk of heart attack. Natural herbal medicines can help a great deal in treatment of this persistent disease. Below you’ll find three treatment suggestions:

Marigold cream
· 2 tablespoons of Marigold (flowers, stems and leaves)
· 500 grams (17.64 oz) of Lard
Heat the lard and bring it to boil. Then add minced Marigold, let it boil for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring it gently. Remove from heat, cover it and leave it stand for one day. Reheat it until it melts, strain through a double-layer gauze and pour it in a glass jar. Put the cream on the affected part every time you notice it dries.

Centaury and Burdock tea
· 3 tablespoons of Centaury (leaves and flowers)
· 3 tablespoons of Burdock root
· 1 l of water
Mince the herbs. Take 1 l of water, put it in a saucepan and bring it to boil. Add the herbs, cover the saucepan and remove it from heat. Steep the tea for two hours, strain it and drink 3 to 4 cups a day, sweetened with honey.

Couch grass, Yarrow and Heartsease tea

· 2 tablespoons of Couch Grass (rhizome)
